About

Reemlee Dhorchowdhury

For those that know Reemlee, the first word that comes to mind is DANCE! Reemlee has been participating in numerous cultural events in the Bengali community since she was 5 years old. Reemlee graduated from Kalapadma Dance Academy in June of 2008 finishing her arrangetram (an arrangetram consists of 10 solo bharatnatyam dances back-to-back as a dancer's debut after finishing her basic training) after taking classes for 12 years. She was also a member of Desi Vibes performing at various venues from 2006-2010. Reemlee also does solo shows and teaches private & group classes. Reemlee decided to create Culture In Motion as a way to share her passion & love for dance with those around her!

Our History

Over 10 years of memories, dancing and fun

Culture In Motion has come a long way since Reemlee started teaching in her parent's basement in 2010. After teaching dance in a shared elementary school classroom for 4 years, Reemlee made the leap of faith and passion and opened a studio in Northbrook Court Mall in 2018. With a desire to celebrate cultural diversity in a fun and welcoming way, opening the studio was truly a labor of love! What started as a group of 3 students grew into a community of over 60+ students and we've only just begun!
